After a successful run in Delhi, the team behind the official Indian offshoot of Cocktail Week is ready to take over Mumbai. So we suggest you get on a detox now and prepare yourself for a bar storm that is hitting our bay in a few weeks.
WHAT IS IT
The week-long celebrations kick-start on April 2nd and go on till April 9th. Spread across 50+ bars, Mumbai Cocktail Week will serve signature concoctions, host pub crawls, master classes by celebrity bartenders and guest bartenders who’ll man the best bars around town.
Catch your favourite bars churning out their signature cocktails at special prices with one band access for all. Participants include PDT Mumbai, Havana Club, The White Owl, The Bar Terminal, BlueFrog, One Street Over, Boveda, The Good Wife, Smoke House Deli, Todi Mill Social as well as the Taj Hotels among others. Or get in the middle of all the action by learning the tricks of the trade from celebrated mixologists. We are looking forward to international celebrity names like Andrea Fidora from Monin, Dubai, Evgeniy Kuznetsov from Splash Dash, Belarus, Pamela Wiznitzer from Seamstress, Manhattan and Hemant Pathak from Junoon, New York and Hannah Van Ongevalle from The Pharmacy, Belgium recreating their bars here.
WHAT WE RECOMMEND
Indian celebrity bartenders including Zac Abott, Evgenya Prazdnik, Pankaj Kamble and Ami Shroff will host master classes on specific spirits as well as sessions on food pairings with cocktails. The cherry on the cake though will be the Global Pop-up Bar evening hosting seven international bartenders at BlueFROG on April 7th.
The second most anticipated event will be the MCW Pub Crawl where you can explore four menus across bars in various hubs of Bandra, Colaba, Andheri West, Lower Parel. These bars will put out special signature cocktail menus and food offers for all band holders.
Passes are up for grabs already with options of Standard (Rs 599), Premium (Rs 1,099) and VVIP (Rs 5,499). The first two let you experience special pre-fixe signature cocktail menus at the partnering spots at just Rs 200/400 (AI) while the VVIP also ensures you free access to opening and closing party, Global Pop Up Bar, MCW Master classes and MCW Pub Crawl.
