Attending music festivals is our second favourite thing (after eating, of course) and if you#39;re like us, this is the one piece you need to read today! After a phenomenal Enchanted Valley Carnival and a mellow Nariyal Paani, we need more doses of fun set to a background of awesome music. So here#39;s a list of 3 weekend long options (including a newbie) that are far from the chaos of the city and yet close enough for a short drive from Mumbai or Pune.  SULA FEST The wine city of Nashik gets busy every year thanks to the Sula Fest. Entering its 9th year, the festival is better known for its landscape vineyard setup, endlessly flowing wine and eclectic gigs that put you in the right mood. This year, the weekend party will see over 100 international and national artists from 23 countries across 25 genres. This year the winery#39;s beautiful open-air Greek-style amphitheater will be headlined by The Cat Empire, a funk band from Australia and DJ Edu Imbernon from Spain. Joining them will be Kailasa, Balkan Beat Box, Dub Inc, Success, Made In Barcelona, Delhi 2 Dublin, Madboy/Mink, Tribal Flora, Rodney Branigan, and Aqua Dominatrix. Other artists to watch out for are Luna City Express, Rik Watts, Bono Goldbaum, O-Be, Shy-O, and Sashanti and Whosain. There will also be over 30 gourmet FB options to gorge on and you move your afterparties to the Let’s Camp Out’s camping site, just 300 metres from the amphitheatre. Only 350 camps are available, so book yourself one right away! When: February 6th to 7th Where: Sula Vineyards, Nashik Cost: Rs 2,500 – Rs 3,700 per person Get more information here THE LOST PARTY Siblings Bhovan Narang and Tanu Narang noticed that most of the music fests in the country focussed on artists who are performing rather than the community of people who attended the events. To bridge this gap, they started The Lost Party. This completely crowdsourced party is where you must head to when you want to get lost in art, music and nature. Open only to people over the age of 21, they keep things interesting with funky art installations and interesting activities like laughing sessions, a ball pit to jump into, nature walks in the morning and karaoke. With an agenda to keep their music refreshing; they try not to repeat artists and also encourage genres that have not gained momentum in the country yet. The spot for this year#39;s party is a 50-acre plot close to Aamby Valley. For those who like to camp, they also provide tents for 2 and 4 people. When: February 26th to 29th Where: Near Aamby Valley Cost: Rs 1,650 – Rs 2,500 per person Get more information here FUTURE THEORY FESTIVAL New festival alert! Future Theory takes a cue from North India#39;s Magnetic Fields with a majestic setting in the historic Jadhavgadh Fort. The first edition of this weekend festival promises to be your ticket to the alternative electronic music scene at a 17th-century fort. Spanning 4 stages and 40 artists, you can look forward to the likes of 5Volts, Petar Dundov, Sickflip, Alexander Robotonick, Sandunes and Audio Glitch. The complete line-up is still under wraps, but if you’re looking for something more than music, there will be nature trails and art installations to make sure you have a one-of-a-kind getaway. For accommodation, they will be camping options by the White Collar Hippie, but if you have some extra moolah to shell out, there’s a grand experience at the fort starting from Rs 23,000 and going up to Rs 53,000 for two nights for four people. When: February 27th to 28th Where: Fort Jadhavgadh, Pune Cost: Rs 3,000 per person (only for the festival) Get more information here With inputs from Kasturi Gadge
