India’s First Food And Fitness Festival

We have seen restaurants promoting healthy eating; we have witnessed a rise in the number of fitness studios opening up in the city, offering all kinds of innovative work-out regimens; it is now time to be a part of a festival that celebrates healthy living. Sunny Side Up is India’s first ever food and fitness festival, that aims to build a fitness community that understands the importance of healthy living and eating in the current state of affairs,  where our body is paying the price for our extravagant lifestyle. The festival has been divided into two sections, namely, food and lifestyle.  While the former will showcase various food brands offering a special healthy menu, while the latter will have various fitness experts conducting sessions for first timers, introducing them to newer workout options in the city. WHAT TO EXPECT The ‘food’ side of the festival has been put together by food curator, Bombay Fusion. The specially designed food court has over 20 participants such as Kadhali, who will promote their special Raw Banana Flour treats and pizzas for gluten sensitive guests, Cool Story plans on putting together a selection of frozen drinks and smoothie bowls, Avni and Myraa#39;s Kitchen will stick to the theme by offering healthy juices and breakfast food, while caffeine lovers can explore the goodies from Vero Coffee. Other brands that will be available there include Chef’s basket, 8 food, Saucery and more. If you are looking for something edgy, then Diet Tamasha’s pink quinoa sushi and chia seed puddings are a must try. Kokos Natural will help you source Pink Himalayan Salt and Coconut Sugar based treats. Enjoy quinoa products such as quinoa flour pasta, and wasabi pops and chips from Organic Farmers Co. Nutritionalist Suman Agarwal’s brand Selfcare will allow you to stock up healthy snacks. Herbivore, known for their amazing dips is launching a new menu comprising meal bowls. They will be serving super food based Khao Suey, Burrito and Ramen Bowls.  Worli’s AKA Restaurant’s healthy menu will include Quinoa Salad, Scallion albumen sandwich on multi grain bread and a pesto rub, Pasta Salad, Olaporida juice -- Gazpacho-almond with muskmelon, soy milk and mint, Curried soya and courgette sandwich on a thyme whole wheat bread and more. Fitness and sports activities are powered by UACTIV that promotes fitness activities. All workshops start from 8 am onwards and include sessions such as Yin Yoga with Sneha Desai, Acro Yoga with Pradeep Mehta, Kids Yoga with Shaili C, Pop Pilates with Sweety Gupta, Tattwa Yoga with Pia Dhir, 2 left feet with Akriti Grover, Fit Swag with Atul Ingle, Bollyfit with Dhanashree Mehta, Nada Yoga with Kadambari Ravi + Azeem Alvi, Pilates with Meghna Thaker, Ashtanga Yoga with Prerna Bhatia, Kids Fitness with Studio 23, Bellyfit with Chaitali Kohli, Cardio Circuit with Studio 23, and more! The workshops have been designed in a fashion that they can be attended by anyone. A few of the must try ones include Capoeira - a unique martial art form also known as the Dance of War. Fit Swag with Atul Ingle, who is the city#39;s best Hip Hop dance instructor. End your day by soothing your senses with some meditation, yoga and live music with Kadambari Ravi and Azeem Alvi. You can also learn to fix your healthy meals at home with specially designed food workshops. Masterchef Finalist Karishma Sakhrani will host a class titled Eat Clean, Eat Delicious where she will teach visitors how to cook Bok Choy Salad, Vegan Tofu Omelette and Brown Rice Jaggery Custard.
