Hamlet is Shakespeare’s longest play and among the most powerful and influential tragedies in English literature. The play is an exploration of the human condition and explores themes of both true and feigned madness, treachery, revenge, incest and moral corruption. Hamlet, the prince of Denmark, returns home to find his father murdered while his uncle Claudius has seized the throne and married his mother. The prince seeks revenge, prompted by the ghost of his father. This screening is presented by the NCPA in collaboration with London#39;s National Theatre.
