Kumail Hamid is a young electronic music producer, who experiments with a range of genres, from rap to dubstep. He aims to take electronica out of its club-friendly combines with an eclectic set that includes heavily manipulated live recordings, atmospheric synths and meticulously panned rhythm sections. He counts artists such as Eskmo, Nicolas Jaar, Mount Kimbie and Shlohmo among his influences.
Sid Vashi is a producer and multi-instrumentalist from Detroit, currently residing in Mumbai. Having grown up with a deep love for bollywood music and jazz saxophone, he crafts textural electronic pop music that incorporates elements of jazz, experimental electronica and hip hop, often using samples from old Indian records and field recordings from around the country.
The line-up will also feature Raffael Kably aka DJ Chetta Sleaze, while the theme for the night is hip hop, during which artists will pay homage to both old school and contemporary hip hop greats.
