We love the Mumbai weather around this time of the year – there is a slight chill in the air, but not enough to send us Mumbaikars running for our blankets and, obviously, post the Valentine’s week craziness, the meat lover in us is craving some normalcy! We might not be the mushiest of lovers but we sure are passionate about our food. If you too have your priorities set just like us, we promise to take you to places that will keep your heart warm and your tummy happy with these succulent grills. KK, Parel This award-winning eatery has been consistently pulling out meaty skewers since a decade now and has never failed to impress. This ITC Grand Central restaurant is tucked in a quiet corner in the hotel, making it a rather private affair. The live kitchen takes inspiration from age-old cooking techniques and keeps you entertained as you watch your dinner being prepared here. KK stands for kebabs and curries, and obviously the menu is loaded with great options, leaving you spoilt for choice. Price: Rs 3,000 for two Timings: 12.30 pm to 2.45 pm and 7 pm to 11.45 pm Baraesti, Tardeo You might find it hard to believe that there is a peaceful spot in the middle of the perpetually chock-a-block South Mumbai. Baraesti is a rooftop open-air lounge with a pretty-looking outdoor setting, and a vibrant and colourful decor. What charmed us the most, though, were the char-grilled delicacies that go best with beer (or rum depending on the weather).  You can settle here at sunset over a chilled pint, as they have great combos that make meals easier on your pocket. Price: Rs 1,500 for two Timings: 5.30 pm to 12.30 pm The Brasserie Grill – Hilton, Andheri East Masked by the French name is a restaurant that serves a mean Indian fare along with a selection of European dishes. While you get your kebabs and galoutis made perfectly, there are a whole lot of seafood and lamb items on the menu. What adds to the charm here is the poolside seating and tastefully designed garden area. The hotel runs liquid buffets throughout the day in various time slots, where you can opt for an all-you-can-drink option for a few hours, but we highly recommend a lazy Sunday brunch here for a truly luxurious affair.  Price: Rs 4,000 for two Timings: Noon to 11.30 pm Asado – The Cocktail Street, Bandra After a short stink, Asado reopened last December with a whole new range of cocktails, but what they decided to retain from the old menu were the Latin stone-grill preparations. As per the menu, you can pick your sides, sauces and meats, which are placed on a lava stone and prepared at your table where you can see the meat go from rare to well-done. The cocktails, the cutesy decor and a lively al fresco make it a delightful place for a date. Price: Rs 2,000 for two Timings: 5 pm to 1.30 am Jyran – Sofitel, Bandra East After the corporate crowd leaves the building, the business district of the Bandra transforms into a place that is dotted with fine-dining options. This Indian restaurant inside Sofitel has a beautiful patio that is decked up with classic shamianas giving it a regal vibe. On the menu are classic Lucknowi and Hyderabadi grill options. The hotel is known for its elaborate collection of French wines that can be paired with the kebabs! While an evening here is a sure-shot hit, you can end the night on a sweet note with a fusion dessert. Want to try a little bit of everything? Ask them for their set menu to make the most of your meal! Price: Rs 3,000 for two Timings: Noon to 3 pm and 7 pm to 11.45 pm
