Known for hosting reputed academies of dance, each year, the August Dance Residency is now in its 6th edition. The series will the premiere of the newest production by the Aditi Mangaldas Dance Company, INTER_RUPTED. The showcase follows the trajectory of contemporary dance based on Kathak infused with modern sound, rhythm and light, with international production values.
There will also be a talk by Farooq Chaudhary – co-founder and producer of Akram Khan Dance Company – on the evolution of Kathak as an international dance form, and a Kathak workshop by Aditi Mangaldas. The masterclass is aimed at senior and intermediate level students and will place focus on grooming talent to meet international standards.
