Dance In The Dark gives audiences the opportunity to catch innovative acts whose sounds and concepts are out of the box. The night’s line up will include Trapeze, Shivai and Anuj Samtani.
Trapeze is a solo project of Akanksha Krishnani. While her time spent living on Spanish Mediterranean coast is evident in her ruminative style of Bulería music, her sounds are also spiced with synth-pop, techno and elements of jazz, and are an ultimate tribute to Mayanism from the forests of Mexico, blending into a lively,deep, dark epitome of minimlalism. Shivai is a 24 year old performing artist based in Mumbai whose forte is a combination of live beatboxing and looping. In addition, his act comprises of sampling, live guitar, synth effects and vocal effects. Chennai-based Anuj Samtani is a filmmaker and DJ. He adapts his sound to fit the vibe of the party, with his favourite genre being hypnotic techno with groovy bass lines.
