Found that perfect nut butter for your morning toast, or got a scoop of ice cream at a flea market that you now craving for on a regular basis? Mumbai’s FB entreprenuers are going all out churning goodies that we are addicted to, but access to them in the absence of a storefront isn’t always easy. Thankfully, a new wave of eateries around the city have created small retail spaces within their locations where you can shop for secret dips and spreads, homemade breads, fresh off the farm produce and even locally sourced produce from homechefs and experts. LHC Mix If you get your hands on a fantastic cocktail concoction, chances are you’ll want to replicate it at home, but these aren’t as readily available as we’d life them to be. Light House Cafe has come up with a brilliant solution for this and have started retailing their cocktail pre-mix that you can make at home by just adding alcohol. Pick from a menu of 18 pre-mixes that range from white rum, vodka, whiskey, gin, wine, beer, tequila or even a mocktail base. Each mix serves 1 and has 150 ml of content priced between Rs 60 to Rs 110. The mixture stays fresh for up to 3 days in the refrigerator, but needs to be consumed immediately once brought to room temperature. We enjoyed their Cocktail Indiana Base (Rs 80) where we needed to add vodka and got a refreshing flavour of paan, clove and lemon as well as the summery TY Elderflower (Rs 70). The fragrant flavours of green tea, elderflower and ginger making you want to go in for round two. P.S: They also deliver between Juhu and South Mumbai making it perfect for your office or house parties. Available at Light House Cafe, Worli and Khar. For deliveries, call 9987610897. Sucres Des Terres A good ice cream’s superpower is that it can fix your mood instantly, even on a bad day. Off late, the city has been flooded with crazy flavour options that are reaching us through various delivery services, but the one we heart are the sophisticated lot from Sucres Des Terres. The brainchild of Kunali Chandaria-Dattoobhai, Sucres Des Terres was started in 2014 and offers artisanal ice-creams in indulgent flavours packed for small batches. They are currently running a pop-up at Le Mill till June 16th and along with the Colaba presence, the brand has also been working in collaboration with The Bombay Canteen for a year now. To celebrate that successful association, the restaurant will sell 500 ml jars of Roasted Cashewnut (Rs 750) and Rose Pistachio (Rs 850) flavours created especially for the restaurant. These goodies are also used to design their entire range of desserts and this month’s special will be fruit flavoured Shrikhand Popsicles (Rs 250) in fig and mango. Available at The Bombay Canteen and their kitchen in Worli. For deliveries, call 9920985880. Chikmagalur Coffee Bellona hospitality’s Craft Deli Bistro Bar is already known for its fresh from the farm artisanal produce. As an extension to this, they’ve tied up with multiple small scale producers to ensure that their ingredients are of the highest quality. So while dining there, you can expect handmade brie and camembert or ice cream created in-house using milk that has been procured from local dairy farms. For caffeine addicts, they offer three blends of Chikmagalur coffee brought in exclusively for the restaurant. You can purchase these as whole beans or get them grounded fresh. Blends available include Monsoon Malabar (Rs 590), which is an Arabica infused with a note of Robusta of 85-90%, Roaster#39;s Reserve (Rs 590) full-bodied blend of 75-80% and House Blend (Rs 550), which is a light roast premium coffee. Available at Craft Deli Bistro Bar, BKC Chia Seed Pudding Early last year, we told you about a great vegan initiative started by Marissa Bronfman when she launched the Chai Seed pudding revolution via her brand Bowl Bar. While these vegan treats are available on order from Sootsy, you can also grab a bowl of the Chia Pudding (Rs 250) at Eat Thai in Bandra. Every day, they put together a limited selection and stacks it fresh at the eatery. After an indulgent Thai meal, the pudding is a great dessert option or a takeaway hearty breakfast.   Available at Eat Thai, Bandra
