A tribute to the master satirist Krishan Chander, the play consists of a selection of his celebrated stories - Hindi Ka Naya Qaida, Ek Gadhe Ki Aatmakatha and his famous short story - Gadha (the hole).
Chander was highly popular amongst the readers in the 1940s and his stories highlighted the struggles of the common man for survival. The play attempts to revive the interest of modern audiences in the works of India’s first Urdu satirist.
